Master Plan for Terrassa Municipal Facilities and Spaces

Based on the inventory and diagnosis of the municipal facilities and spaces in the municipality prepared by the Geography Department of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Terrassa City Council commissioned GMG to draft the Plan’s proposals and action plan document director of facilities. The Plan is a planning tool and proposes an action strategy for the adaptation, improvement and expansion of the network of municipal facilities for the next ten years. The 50 actions defined have a global coherence from the different visions of the territory, and therefore, in addition to covering the needs, they also fit in with the various plans that the City Council is developing, such as the Sports Plan , Plan for Cultural Facilities, Plan for the Elderly, Plan for Libraries, Plan for Streams, Master Plan for Polygons of Economic Activity, etc. Each proposed action is based on one of three general criteria: functional, territorial or sustainability, and contains the description, objectives and justification of the action, as well as the budget and calendar. The document also analyzes the availability and/or lack of equipment land in order to know where the reserves are located, their surface area and qualification; and at the same time makes a note on general criteria to be taken into account or guidelines for future actions in relation to buildings without qualified use of equipment, in relation to the suitability of the location of some existing equipment and in relation to qualified land as equipment not suitable for this use.
