GMG starts the project of a new building of 84 energy efficient homes in Girona

Last June at GMG we received the order for a new building of 84 energy efficient homes in the city of Girona. The building will be located at the junction of Joan Coromines and Joaquim Ruyra streets, in the Montilivi district. With a total built-up roof of around 16,000 m2, the building will have around 5,000 m2 distributed over two basement floors for parking with around 114 parking spaces and 84 storage rooms. Above ground level, the building will have a constructed roof of around 11,000 m2 that will accommodate a total of 84 homes, 53 with three bedrooms, 18 with two bedrooms and 13 duplexes with four bedrooms, all of them with large outdoor terraces. The homes will have the highest energy rating. The air conditioning system, together with the production of domestic hot water, will be by aerothermia and, as a singularity, the heating will combine aerothermia with a radiant floor system. This July we are handing over to the developer a very complete preliminary project, which has already been designed and modeled in BIM. At the end of September we anticipate the delivery of the basic project and towards the end of the year the delivery of the executive project. No date has yet been set for the start of the works, although it is expected for the first semester of 2023.
