We expand The Yellow Nest

In April 2022, GMG presented The Yellow Nest corporate building as a benchmark for sustainability in office buildings.

Today we can announce that we are waiting for a license to start the building expansion works, consisting of the energy rehabilitation of an industrial building built in the 60s at the confluence of Baldrich and Navas de Tolosa streets in Terrassa .

The energy rehabilitation will consist of acting on the three floors of the building for multipurpose uses. The basement will be suitable for parking and warehouse use, the ground floor for production use and the first floor for office use and R&D department with laboratory. The project envisages acting on the entire skin of the building, reducing its thermal transmittance and equipping it with efficient installations for its air conditioning.

It is also planned to build a solar pergola 9 meters high in the inner courtyard that separates the current building from the ship to be rehabilitated. This pergola will allow the assembly of photovoltaic panels which, together with those we will install on the roof of the building to be rehabilitated, will increase the photovoltaic production by 40kW, which are added to the 20kW of the first phase and the 100kW that have been installed ·late recently on the roofs of the two production buildings. With 160kW of installed power, it will become one of the main photovoltaic installations in Terrassa which, in addition, will offer residents the possibility of contracting the purchase of local electricity according to the shared self-consumption model.

We anticipate the start of work on this interesting project in the second quarter of 2024.
