At GMG we are launching a website
Our job is, above all, to make projects and make them come true. We live it with intensity and this makes time go by quickly. Within the activity of a firm like GMG, one of the tasks that must also be tackled is that of communicating what we do and what are the results of the efforts of the whole team. The Internet, social networks and regular newsletters are the ideal channels to do this, but we must admit that they are not our passion, we prefer to do than to explain what we do. This is probably why, every now and then we look back and realize that the website is already 10 years old, that it has become outdated, that it does not read well on some devices and that we need to renew it. Preparing the third GMG website has been a long process of almost two years, but we believe that we have achieved what we set out to do and, if nothing else, we have put in the effort. In an era where web creators make a site in a week, using artificial intelligence to create the texts and image banks for graphics, we prefer to create all the content, taking care of what we want to communicate and how to show – it It has been an immersive, self-critical and very reflective process, which has necessarily led us to analyze the path we have taken and consider carefully where we want to continue walking. The previous website showed GMG’s commitment to achieve more sustainable buildings, to plan an urbanism with better free spaces and where to achieve well-placed and well-oriented buildings. It showed our own engineering, focused on energetically rehabilitating, achieving the best energy efficiency of our buildings and self-producing energy. 15 years after proposing all these objectives, we now find them fully integrated in our profession and many are mandatory compliance by the technical building code or are normative in the urban planning law. We are very pleased to have come this far, but we know that we cannot stop here and that we must continue to improve. Climate change is no longer a debate, it is an indisputable reality. The world will have to react and adapt quickly to the new paradigms that the climate emergency presents us with and we want GMG to contribute our grain of sand. From this set of reflections, we have been giving shape to the new GMG website and we have also taken the opportunity to be present on Instagram. We hope you like it.
